Join us Trailside Nature & Science Center for one Big Day of birding!

October Big Day is the perfect opportunity to contribute to citizen science, enjoy nature, and connect with a local–and global– community of bird lovers.

Last October, nearly 36,332 people from 191 countries submitted checklists with eBird, demonstrating the power of birds to bring people together. Each year more and more participants join in this global celebration, how many people will contribute this year?

Trailside staff will lead guided bird walks at 9:30am.  You’ll get to apply what you learned in our Birding for Biodiversity workshop on Thursday, October 10, or if you’re new to birding, enjoy an introduction to the basics of this fun and rewarding activity.

There will be fun family activities between 11am and 3pm!

You are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather,  and to bring binoculars if you own them.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.
