FamilySearch, the largest genealogy organization in the world, is a nonprofit organization sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Scotch Plains Public Library is a FamilySearch affiliate library, which allows onsite users to access to more than two billion digitized records, including 400 million images that are not currently available outside an affiliate library or a FamilySearch family history center.
While not necessary for searching, signing up for a free FamilySearch account allows you to save your progress and build your family tree, and may be required to view some digital images.
